THE STONE ESTATE

Nestled in the picturesque beauty of the Peak District, the Stone Estate is a remarkable collection of cottages, each with its own unique charm. As the photographer, capturing the essence of these cottages has been an absolute joy. From beautiful barn conversions to cozy traditional limestone houses, these properties are styled and decorated with an incredible attention to detail, marrying countryside charm with contemporary design.

Jo's influence, drawn from her time working in Boston, America, has infused these cottages with a hearty and inviting Shaker style. It's a style that resonates with simplicity, subdued earthy materials, vintage discoveries, and traditional embellishments. As I photograph these spaces, I'm constantly inspired by the fusion of rustic elements and clean lines that create a homely yet contemporary atmosphere.

One of the most striking features of photographing the Stone Estate properties is the abundance of natural light. The cottages are designed to maximise this light, with it bouncing off the crisp white walls and filling every frame with a soft, warm glow. It's a photographer's dream, as it accentuates the soft tones and textures that make these cottages so inviting.

What makes each location truly special is its individual charm and unique nuances. As the photographer, I've made it my mission to highlight these distinct qualities through my camera lens. Whether it's the rustic warmth of a barn conversion or the timeless elegance of a traditional limestone house, each cottage tells its own story, and I aim to capture that story with every click of my camera.

These photographs serve as a visual testament to the beauty and character of the Stone Estate properties. They transport viewers into a world where tradition and modernity coexist harmoniously, inviting them to imagine the serenity and comfort of staying in these cottages. It's been an honour and a pleasure to document the Stone Estate's aesthetic and bring it to life through my photography.
